    The wind turbine contains a compressor located behind the rotor. When the rotor spins, air is compressed and piped down the tower to an underground network of larger pipes or caverns.
  The compressed air may be accumulated for hours,or even days depending upon storage capacity available.
  When power is desired, air is released from storage, heated and used to drive expanders connected to electricity generators.
